    Researchers from Australia, Greece and Sweden, led by Brother Martalena Purba Monash University in Melbourne, studied 450 people aged 70 years or more to see if there was a relationship between how wrinkled were and what they ate. They found that those who eat mostly vegetables, olive oil, fish, legumes, low-fat dairy products and tea are less wrinkled.

    Based on the results of research, here is a list of what to eat and drink to protect against wrinkles:

    * Green leafy vegetables
    * The vegetables, especially spinach, eggplant, asparagus, celery, onions, leeks and garlic
    * Vegetable Juice
    * Water and tea
    * Legumes especially broad beans and beans
    * Fruit especially cherries, grapes, melons, apples, plums, pears, fruit salad, nuts
    * Olive oil and other monounsaturated fatty acids, such as nuts and olives
    * Polyunsaturated oil
    * Yogurt
    * Cheese
    * Sardines
    * Eggs
    * Multigrain

    The magic ingredients to protect against wrinkles appear monounsaturated fats, vitamin C, retinol, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron and zinc.

    Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals, unstable oxygen molecules produced by pollution, stress and sun. Free radicals attack healthy cells and cause skin collagen degradation, leading to wrinkles. Antioxidants – found in green tea, vitamins C and E and coenzyme Q10 – working together to neutralize free radicals.

    Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin retinol is one of its most active. Retinol is required for growth and reproduction of the skin, and differentiation of epithelial tissues. This is important because your skin ages over time and the results are wrinkles, rough texture, discolorations, and thinning. Retinol is an essential fat-soluble vitamin that is used to combat these negative effects and promote healthy skin. This vitamin is found in foods of animal origin such as liver and eggs and some fortified foods.

    Iron helps oxygen to the skin that gives your skin enough air to breathe, while zinc promotes cell growth and repair, and is a key member of a group of enzymes that help maintain the supply of collagen. Without zinc, enzymes that rebuilding new collagen and not working properly.
